Customization

Racquet Customization
An unknown fact to many, tennis racquets can actually be customized in a way that is best suited for the player. Sure, suits can be worn off the peg, and they may even look really good considering. But, if you had the option to get your suit tailored, would you pass that up? Then why pass up the oportunity to have your racquet tailored to you?
Not sure whether you should get your racquet customized? If you answered, "Yes," to any of the following questions, it's worth considering.
>Is your grip size too big or too small?
>Is the impact of the ball jarring to your arm?
>Do you have tennis elbow?
>Does your racquet feel too light?
>Do you feel like you're hitting the ball really hard, but you're still not getting enough power?
>Do you feel like you're getting pushed around during faster rallies and defensive points?
>Are you considering switching racquets but not ready to make that commitment?

What's Impossible
Before you get too excited, you need to know that customizations have their limits. Below is a list of all the things that can't be done to a racquet. If you need any of the following done, it's time to come in and look at some new racquets.
>The head size of the racquet cannot be changed.
>The string pattern of the racquet cannot be changed.
>The stiffness of the racquet cannot be chagned.
>Racquets cannot be made lighter.
General
Sometimes, you want your racquet to be a little different. Bring in your racquet, and I can make the changes necessary to get your racquet to certain weight, swingweight, and balance targets.
Additionally, if you have multiple racquets that you do not want matched to one another but want to have customized to reach the same targets described above, that can also be done. In these situations, racquet matching rates apply rather than multiple individual customization rates.
Customizing a racquet is a process. When you are looking to change your racquet, you may think you want one thing, but when you try it out, you may discover that's not the case. Customization charges cover ALL of the work required to make your racquet(s) how you want. This way, you do not have to be afraid to bring it back in for more tweaking.
Changing Grip Sizes
This is the most popular customization service that I perform. Often, the grips on the racquets people use are too small, and this can lead to a number of problems. All grips can be built up, either by whole size or half, and this minor change can make the racquet go from unplayable to perfect.
On the other side of that coin, grips are occasionally too large for the players. In limited cases, grip sizes can be reduced without the need to send it back to the manufacturer. If you need your grip reduced, bring it in, and I will evaluate whether or not it can be done.
Racquet Matching
Another popular service among more advanced players is racquet matching. All racquets are made within certain tolerances, but even then, all the racquets in your bag may not feel the same. If you would like to make all of your racquets feel the same, I can match all of them to the heaviest one in your bag to within 1.0 grams.
This service is also popular among players who have two different racquets but cannot necessarily afford to buy a third to create a matching pair. Depending on the level of difference between the racquets, I can also match differing models of racquets within the same 1.0 gram constraint.
